How to join WorkAndHire?

It is very easy, you can register free of charge on the registration page.

How do i change my password?

Go to Account → Security to change your password, or Edit Profile to update your details. If you have forgotten your password, use Forgot password.

what are project options?
Pay per hour: You get paid for the time tracked by the WorkAndHire hourly timer while it is running. The payment is held in escrow.

Fixed price project: You get paid when the project is completed and accepted. The payment is held in escrow until then.
Account suspension
Account suspension may be due to activity as a Buyer or Provider which against WorkAndHire term and condition.

 This is the most common reason for project removal and account suspension.

 Contact information or links to contact information posted in a project description, bid, or in the message boards.

 Posting invalid or disallowed content in a project description, bid or in the message boards:
  •  This may include advertisements, illegal or inappropriate information. ?
  •  Posting a request for any exchange of funds between accounts without a valid project.
  •  Creation of multiple accounts.
  • Members are allowed only one WorkAndHire account, which can be used for both hiring and acquiring jobs. ?
  •  Your account balance has been negative for 30 days or more. ?
  •  Any action that violates the WorkAndHire Terms of Service may result in account suspension or termination.
What are the fees for using WorkAndHire?

Freelancer's fee: 5% commission for projects, services, and offers, deducted when the work is completed and the payment is released.
Buyer's fee: 5% service fee, added to the buyer's total at checkout.

Who can create project at WorkAndHire?
Anyone can create a project for free at WorkAndHire.
What is the pay rate for work?
Workers and hirer can choose pay rate of their choice when posting projects and biding.

You can search the projects and find the ongoing pay rate for similar kind of projects. Workers can bid high with their experience grows with projects.
how can I deactivate my account

Members cannot deactivate their account online. To deactivate your account, please contact support at [email protected].

Why am I not receiving email notifications about all the projects?

Go to Account → Privacy and turn on Email notifications, and check that the email address in Edit Profile is correct.

Do I have to pay for Posting Projects and hire developer for work?

No. Posting projects and services are free of charge.

 Employer will pay a fee if only freelancer been hired.

Only developers/freelancers will pay a commission after they have been hired.
 

What is Fixed Price and Hourly basis?
Fixed price jobs are appropriate for smaller projects: the worker must deliver the project in a predefined time period for the satisfaction of the contractor.

Hourly basis projects are more flexible, so the employer can monitor the worker and help with the project. Hourly work is tracked by the WorkAndHire hourly timer, which records the working time. On hourly projects, job seekers can select how long and how much they can work weekly.
How to deposit the fund to WorkAndHire?

Go to Deposit (in your Wallet) and pay with PayPal or Stripe. The funds are added to your balance once the payment is confirmed.

Hourly System

Do fixed price projects or services use the hourly timer?
No. The hourly timer is only used for hourly projects and services, and working time is only recorded for hourly work.
Can the employer stop the hourly timer?
Yes. The employer or buyer can stop the timer at any time.

Services

What is service management?
On the service management page, you can stop, hide, delete or activate your service if you wish.
If you hide the service, your service will be hidden from the WorkAndHire listing and no one
can see or purchase your service.
How to post a service?

Click Start Listings at the top of the page, or go straight to Post a Service.

What is services?
The services are a section in WorkAndHire which easily can sell or buy any service provided by developers.
Who pays fee?

The freelancer pays a 5% commission, deducted when the buyer accepts the work and the payment is released. The buyer pays a 5% service fee, added to the total at checkout.

Is the service fee refundable?

The service fee is charged at checkout. If the order is cancelled, it is refunded to your WorkAndHire balance together with the order amount. Once you accept the delivered work the order is complete and the fee is not refundable, so make sure you are 100% ready to accept the job.

Can i add extra in service?
Yes. you can add extra options for services in post a service page
I have hired and paid but developer has not accept the job
If buyer pay for service and hire a developer and developer reject then  task   then payment will be refund and will be credit to  buyer's account in WorkAndHire
What can i post in in services?

You can post and sell anything that you can create online, it can be as easy as data entry or create fun video, writing...etc.

there are lots of categories with 100's of skills to choose from. just post one that you are comfortable and can be done based

on your skills.

I hired developer but need to cancel service

You are able to cancel the service if the developer is not able to complete the task on time. You also can create a dispute

and explain the reason you like to cancel the task. Dispute professionals process your dispute claim and respond in a few days.

Employer

How to find good and reliable workers?
You can look into Profiles and select the most suitable worker with his skills, qualifications and his bid on project. Note the feedbacks, comments and popularity.

 You can also contact and interview the worker who has bidded on your project
What happens after i canceled the project as employer?

If you have not hired anyone yet, your project is cancelled and removed from the open jobs. If a freelancer is already working for you, cancelling follows the order rules: if work has not started, the order is cancelled and refunded straight away; if work has started, your cancellation becomes a request the freelancer must approve, or you can open a dispute.

How do i cancel the project?

Open the order from your dashboard and choose Cancel. If work has not started it is cancelled and refunded immediately; otherwise the freelancer must approve the cancellation.

How do i close the project?

Hourly project: stop the timer first; the time worked is then settled from the escrowed payment.
Fixed price project: the project is completed when you accept the delivered work, which releases the payment to the freelancer. You can leave feedback afterwards.

How can i chat with developers?

Use Messages to chat with developers.

Do I have to pay for Posting Projects and and hire somebody for work?

Posting projects is free.
 Employer will pay service fee upon hiring.
 

How do i choose the project winner?

Open your job, choose the freelancer you want to hire and complete the payment. The payment is held in escrow and the freelancer must accept before starting; if they decline or do not accept in time, the payment is refunded to you.

How can I post projects and hire workers?
You can start by clicking the Post Projects button in the menu. You can post a job with a detailed description. And select a candidate with Skills and Qualifications, Or you can search for workers and invite the right candidate to bid on your project.

How can i chat with Employer?

Use Messages to chat with the employer.

What happens after i deny the project?
You will lose that project but you are able to bid or work on other projects.

An email will be sent to employer to let him/her know that you have denied the project.
What happens after i accept the project?

For hourly work, start the WorkAndHire hourly timer when you begin working; it records your hours and minutes. For fixed price work, deliver the work and you are paid when the employer accepts it.

How can i get paid ?

At the moment WorkAndHire only works with PayPal and Stripe, but we will be adding more options later.

You can leave feedback once the project or order has been completed, from the completed order in your dashboard.

How can i use chatline inside website?
Yes .
You need to bid on project  or get hired by employer to be able to share your files , designs and using chat room.
Can I be not get paid after the project is finished?
WorkAndHire guarantee the payment after task completed.
How many jobs can I apply?
Applying and bidding for projects is free and there is no limit.
How do I deliver the finished project?
Worker and employer can create an easy environment to managing the project.
This includes the description of work, questions regarding the project, delivering the project and payment.
How do I keep in touch with my bids?

It's necessary to keep in touch with your bids and projects. You can follow them and their status from your dashboard.

How can I improve my Profile?
You can upload your logo and describe your skills and qualifications in your profile to show off your skills to employers.
Do I have chances of getting hired for work?
First is the hardest. It may take some time to build up your profile and get hired. An impressive profile increases your chances.
How do I post a good bid for a Project?

You can see the project description and also ask the employer for more details if you can't estimate the total project value, and post your bid.

Is there any limit of working or making money?
Absolutely no. As you build your experience with projects and reputation through feedbacks you can find work and find workers easily. It's easier to increase paying rate with more experience you have. You can be a fulltime worker with hourly basis work.

Payments

Does your payment system secure?
We take all security measures to ensure your information is safe and our sites use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) when transmitting all sensitive personal information. At the moment we use the PayPal and Stripe payment systems.
How does WorkAndHire make money?

We work based on commission upon hiring.

Dispute

How does dispute work?

Sometimes the buyer and the seller do not agree about a working order, so one of them opens a dispute. A dispute can be opened while the order is active and its payment is still held in escrow. It goes through these stages:

Stage 1: Open – describe the issue, request a resolution and upload evidence. The other party is asked to respond.
Stage 2: Negotiation – both parties exchange messages and settlement proposals (full refund, partial refund, no refund, or rework) and can accept, counter or reject them.
Stage 3: Escalation – if a proposal is rejected, or the other party does not respond within 72 hours, the dispute can be escalated to the WorkAndHire support team.
Stage 4: Decision – the support team reviews the evidence and decides on a refund or rework.

How can I dispute a Project?
You can identify the issue, make negotiation about it, provide evidence and make final payments after any dispute about a project. This will provide transparency to both worker and buyer.
How long dispute processing take?

There is no fixed deadline. The other party has 72 hours to respond to each step; if they do not respond, or a proposal is rejected, you can escalate the dispute to the WorkAndHire support team, who then review the evidence and decide.

How do i follow my dispute?

You can view and follow your disputes on the Disputes page in your account.

What does happen to the project after you lodge the dispute?

The order is put on hold: its payment stays in escrow until the dispute is resolved, and for hourly work the timer cannot be restarted while the dispute is active. The other party is asked to respond.
